Fictionaut’s Line Breaks

Maybe the best thing on Fictionaut is Line Breaks, edited by Gary Percesepe. This week Anne Beattie’s story with its loaded title, “Coping Stones,” is–no other way to put it–profound. My favorite features have been “In the Cemetery where Al Jolson is Buried,” by Amy Hempel–I love “Al Jolson” and it’s great that to have this gem always available now–and “One-Way Ticket,” by Antonya Nelson. Both firsts for their authors. I’m starting to get blog voice.

Getting to read these classics again or for the first time is just nice.  I don’t know.
